Commencement of Fundraising for Riverstone Global Energy and Power Fund VI

London, UK (19 May 2014)- Riverstone Energy Limited ("REL") notes the commencement of fundraising for Riverstone Global Energy and Power Fund VI, L.P. (the "Fund").  The Fund, which has a target size of $7.5 billion, will pursue investments in the exploration & production, midstream, energy services and power & coal subsectors of the energy industry.

The announcement is being made to solely satisfy REL's disclosure obligations pursuant to the UK Listing Rules and Disclosure Rules.  It is not, and should not be regarded as, an offer of any interests or securities in the Fund or any underlying portfolio company or other vehicle.
